The 48th AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix awakens the history of racing and delivers a live experience of it – not just due to the admission of up to 5,000 spectators per day to the grandstands at the venue. Extensive live streaming is another element that helps to document events at the Nürburgring as comprehensively as never before. The specialists from Nürburgring TV have set up an extensive production operation that captures the historic racing cars from many different angles. In addition to trackside cameras, onboard cameras are delivering spectacular footage. Several video teams have been deployed to the paddock. One camera accompanies RTL reporter Peter Reichert, who plans to portray many interesting protagonists and their cars – so classic car enthusiasts can look forward to motoring stories from motoring history even after the AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix has ended.
A range of partners have been assisting in the project of making live streaming of the current activities and the stories from the paddock at the Nürburgring possible: in addition to the AvD, they include the International Audi R8 LMS Cup, the FCD RacingSeries, the Touring Car Classics, the FHR and the C.H.R.S.N. Not least, the Nürburgring TV team was inspired by the event as well and will be enhancing the stream by a large number of details.
AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix live streaming will be available from 9.30 am to 6.30 pm on both Saturday and Sunday and can be watched via the following platforms, for example:
